Last night, Dan hosted Fox News’ “Hannity” where he interviewed the wife and father of a former Green Beret who has been charged with murdering a Taliban bomb maker.
Major Matthew Golsteyn, a 2002 West Point graduate, first acknowledged killing the man in a 2011 interview with the CIA, and was cleared by a military tribunal in 2013.
Despite the fact that there is no new evidence, the Army reopened its investigation into Golsteyn after he did an interview in 2016 with Fox News’ Brett Baier.
Golsteyn’s wife, Julie discussed her husband’s service with Dan. “It melts my hear to hear him talk about what those times and what those people meant to him and its so nice to hear those people who have served with him also support and defend him,” she said.
His father, Jerry Golsteyn told Dan his son is “a man of great integrity and to see him come back and this trial–after being acquitted one time–starting again, is very disappointing.”
