The Daily Caller points out that Haley spoke to Fox News’ Sean Hannity last night and said, “You’re not hearing China. You’re not hearing Russia. The only ones that are mourning the loss of Soleimani are our Democrat leadership, and our Democrat presidential candidates.”
Haley went on to praise President Trump and his quick decision-making which led to the death of Soleimani–who has the blood of hundreds of Americans on his hands.
“What the president did left the Iranian regime completely flat-footed. They did not see this coming,” she said. “They thought they could continue to do their multiple strikes.”
Haley called for a united front when it comes to dealing with Iran.
“And I will tell you right now, partisan politics should stop when it comes to foreign policy,” she said. “This is about America united.”
Soleimani led the Quds Force for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds (IRGC) which supported terrorist proxies in the Middle East and was killed last week in an airstrike at Baghdad Airport in Iraq which was ordered by President Trump.
Former U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno, told Fox News in 2015 that Soleimani was responsible for “killing many Americans.” “In fact,” Odierno said, “I would say the last two years I was [in the Middle East], the majority of our casualties came from his surrogates, not Sunni or Al Qaeda.”
Democrats (and Iran) appear to be the only ones upset with President Trump’s decision to take out a terrorist who killed hundreds of Americans.
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) tweeted last week, “The question is this — as reports suggest, did America just assassinate, without any congressional authorization, the second most powerful person in Iran, knowingly setting off a potential massive regional war?”
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) also questioned the legality of the killing of Soleimani and said, “the President does not have the authority for a war with Iran.”
“Squad” member, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) called President Trump “lawless” for taking action against the Iranian terrorist and said Congress “must reclaim” its responsibility to stop war with Iran.
