Looks like it’s the first time liberals are getting a taste of digital discrimination. According to the Daily Beast, 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii was “riding high in Google searches after the first democratic debate in June. Then, for what her campaign claims were critical hours, their Google advertising account suddenly went down.”
Google says it was a technical error. Gabbard says otherwise:
Google’s discriminatory actions against my campaign are reflective of how dangerous their complete dominance over internet search is, and how the increasing dominance over internet search is, and how the increasing dominance of big tech companies over our public discourse threatens our core American values.
Welcome to party, Tulsi. Except for conservatives and President Trump, discriminatory actions are NOT technical errors. They are deliberate actions taken against conservatives to silence them. Even Republican individuals have had their accounts shut down simply for posting pro-America photos or quotes. So, if you want to talk about “threats to our core American values,” let’s talk.
The rhetoric in the filed lawsuit is comical. It describes a situation many Conservatives are actually able to prove has happened to them, but liberals have been silent. The lawsuit alleges foul play:
The explanation for Google’s suspension of the Account at exactly the wrong time is no great mystery: Google (or someone at Google) didn’t want Americans to hear Tulsi Gabbard’s speech, so it silenced her…Google controls one of the largest and most important forums for political speech in the entire world, and it regularly silences voices it doesn’t like, and amplifies voices it does.
If only President Trump and nearly every conservative leaning individual or leader in the United States had the ability to sue every time they were discriminated upon. Or even better, the ability to sue media for reporting damaging LIES. But alas, hypocrisy is saved for liberals only. Welcome to the world of discrimination, Tulsi.
