What the Media Covers Up About Black Lives Matter
The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement has been able to gain support from many across the world from people who, in good faith, want to fight racism. Pew Research says that two thirds of Americans either somewhat or strongly support the movement.
But what is Black Lives Matter, really?
The Daily Signal’s Fred Lucas does a great job giving the real behind-the-scenes view of what the movement really is, and if people knew these facts, many, if not most, would run away from the group as far as they could.
We reported earlier this week that one of the founders of BLM is a self-described “trained Marxist,” and Lucas points out that one of its goals is to “dismantle the nuclear family,” which is straight out of the Marxist playbook.
Lucas addresses four claims about BLM:
1. Are BLM leaders “trained Marxists?” Yes, as Lucas points out:
BLM’s co-founders are Patrisse Khan-Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza. In a 2015 interview we reported on this week, Khan Cullors said that BLM has an “ideological frame,” and that “[M]yself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists.”
2. What’s the Official Organization? There are Many BLM organizations, but the main one associated with its main founders is the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, which has a national network of over 40 chapters.
3. What does the organization want? On its website, it says, “[W]e disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”
It also says that, “[W]e make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead. … We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence. We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.”
In other words, BLM is a classic, intersectional, Marxist group.
4. What is Thousand Currents? Thousand Currents underwrites the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, and it describes itself as an organization that“envisions a world where humanity thrives as a creative force that is in reciprocal [sic] and interdependent with nature, and creates loving, equitable and just societies.”
The group’s vice chairwoman of the board of directors is Susan Rosenberg, a “convicted felon who participated in bombing buildings in the Northeast and Washington, D.C.,” a former member of M19 (May 19th Communist Organization) and the Weather Underground, and someone who urged supporters to “continue to fight for the defeat of U.S. imperialism,” as her sentencing hearing was going on in 1984.
After Rosenberg was exposed as being part of Thousand Currents, the board of directors page was “mysteriously” taken off the website.
Thousand Currents just took down their Board of Directors page on which Susan Rosenberg, the Marxist terrorist, was listed! Thanks to last night's show no doubt!https://t.co/Xj9yJBXHUd

In short, this group is NOT about justice for anyone. BLM just a continuation of a Marxist militia that has been operating since the 1960s.
