In the latest chapter of his neverending quest to find ways to weaken and endanger America, Joe Biden has decided to close GITMO. His spokesman Jen Psaki confirmed that in a press conference. When asked if they planned to closed GITMO, Psaki said, “That certainly is our intention.” She added,
“And we are three weeks in, I realize, at a certain point I can’t say that anymore, but we are still just three and a half weeks in, so we are undertaking an NSC process, which is how it should work. Through that, to work with the interagency, to assess the current state of play that the Biden administration has inherited from the previous administration.”
Republicans have always fought the idea of closing the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and John Cornyn’s statement about Psaki’s comments indicates it won’t be any different this time.
“The Democrats’ obsession with bringing terrorists into Americans’ backyards is bizarre, misguided, and dangerous. Just like with President Obama, Republicans will fight it tooth and nail.”
The GOP has fought hard to keep GITMO open in the past and we should expect them to do the same this time. Why?
Because any place terrorists are held is a potential target. GITMO is a difficult target to hit because of the location and because it’s run by the US military. Prisons on American soil would be much more accessible, easier to crack, and a more inviting target for terrorists. In other words, American citizens could literally die because of what Joe Biden wants to do — and for what? Mainly because Republicans support it, so Democrats must oppose it. Put American lives in danger. Get fluffy pillows for terrorists. Let’s coddle and hug them and until everything is all right. It doesn’t matter how nice we are to our enemies, they will still want to kill us. Liberals, who think everyone is their friend except for conservatives and nations that actually like and help America, will never understand that.
