Yesterday, the Biden White House reassured Americans over and over that there was no gas shortage and no reason to worry about the supply of gas because of the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack.
As TownHall reports:
White House press secretary Jen Psaki brought Homeland Security advisor Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall and Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technologies Anne Neuberger to reassure Americans the Biden administration was on top of the crisis, urging Americans to remain calm.
“Right now, there is not a supply shortage,” Sherwood-Randall told reporters at the daily press briefing.
Psaki also note “at this point in time, I would just reiterate: We don’t see a supply issue.”
President Joe Biden spoke about the issue later, reassuring Americans he was acting to “mitigate any impact on our fuel supply” with preparations for additional steps if needed.
Meanwhile, as someone who lives in Myrtle Beach, SC, I can assure you that there was a supply shortage last night. Around here, multiple gas stations ran dry and there were long lines everywhere else. This morning, someone told me there was a two-hour line at one of the remaining stations that were open.
This was not a unique experience.
Video coming out of Asheville, North Carolina show the fuel shortage in effect.

Some could argue that there isn’t actually a supply shortage and that we weren’t on track to have one, it’s just the “toilet paper effect” where everyone running out in a panic to buy something creates a shortage that wouldn’t otherwise happen. That being said, if the Biden Administration spent the day telling people there’s nothing to worry about and absolutely no one paid attention to it, what does it say about his credibility? About whether they believe he’s honest? About whether people think he’s competent?
Even the people that like Biden recognize that he’s a doddering buffoon who runs an administration obsessed with wokeness. They wouldn’t be capable of helping themselves if they were stuck in a crisis, much less you. What should really be troubling people is that very few people horde toilet paper, gas, and bullets if they are confident in the competence of their government and the future of the country.
