Former Vice President Joe Biden gave himself a glowing endorsement on Monday night, telling a crowd in Montana that he was “the most qualified person in the country to be president.”
During a book tour stop in Missoula, Biden told the crowd, “I think I’m the most qualified person in the country to be president. The issues that we face as a country today are the issues that I’ve worked on my whole life — the plight of the middle class and foreign policy.”
Biden said he and his family would decide on his potential presidential run together. “We do everything as a family,” he said.
The former Vice President even acknowledged his unfortunate ability to make embarrassing gaffes, telling the audience, “I may be a gaffe machine, but my God, what a wonderful thing compared to a guy who can’t tell the truth.”
Biden made the remarks while on touring the country for the release of his memoir “Promise Me, Dad.”
