The Israeli-Palestinian conflict was the subject of a recent episode of Dr. Phil, where two pro-Palestine activists who justified the actions of Hamas were confronted by Mosab Hassan Yousef - the son of Hamas co-founder Sheikh Hassan.
Yousef was formally a militant himself, but defected to Israel in 1997 and converted to Christianity in 1999.
At one point in the episode, Dr. Phil brought out two pro-Palestinian activists from the University of Michigan who refused to condemn the October 7 terrorist attacks. ““There are some things that are just fundamental human decency, and when I ask you if what happened on October 7 is something you condemn and you say well, you have to look at that by looking at hundreds of years of conflict – no you don't – that's either right or it's wrong and it was wrong and I don't need a hundred years of conflict to know it was wrong” Dr. Phil said to them, to applause, before Yousef reacted.
