Within 10 seconds Biden went from beginning to snap at a reporter and accusing her of being a Republican to quickly pivoting and saying he was just joking.
"Economists are saying that a recession is more likely than ever," the reporter can be heard saying to Biden off camera.
“Not the majority of them aren’t saying that, c’mon, don’t make things up, ok?” He snapped. “Now you sound like a Republican politician.”
“I’m joking, that was a joke,” he added.
Watch below:
According to a poll of top economists from the Financial Times, 70% (a majority!) believe the economy will suffer a recession in the next year.
Similarly, a recent CNBC poll of CFOs found that 68% of them expect a recession will occur during the first half of 2023, not one responding forecsat a recession any later than the second half of 2022, and not one thinks the economy will avoid a recession.
