Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan revealed on CNN that heâll be seeking Congressional funding for 100,000 beds for illegals to help support what will be the largest deportation operation in history.
Noting that he doesnât yet have data on how many resources heâll be starting with, he told Kaitlan Collins âWe need Congress to give us some money to get this done. I donât know how many resources I have, I donât know how much money I want to have to buy beds, I donât know how much money I want to have to buy transportation contracts.â
He added. âWe need at least 100,000 beds. ICE offices across the county will be out on the streets on day one.â
Homan admitted that the operation will be expensive, costing at least nearly $90 billion, but there will be a return on investment for the taxpayer. As I noted in an article yesterday, a recent analysis from the Center for Immigration Studies used data from the National Academies of Sciences to estimate the net cost of illegal aliens (not including their children) to the taxpayer over their lifetimes. As per their estimates, it came out to $80,000 (adjusted for inflation), based on the taxes they paid minus services used. In other words, the 2 million illegals released into the U.S. interior under the Biden administration will have a lifetime cost to taxpayers of $150 billion, while the other 1 million gotaways will bring the total past $200 billion.
And remember, *that's just the cost from the new illegals that Biden let in.*
When it came to how many illegals could be deported, Homan didnât give a specific number, but simply said âWe want to arrest as many people as we can who are in the country illegally.â
When asked by Collins after how many days in office weâll see these deportations start, he only needed two words; day one.
Sadly, we donât even know for sure how many illegals are even in the country. For decades, the government has impossibly claimed that there are 11 million illegals in the county - and not one or one less. Our government reports illegal immigration stats like the Chinese government reported COVID death stats.
A Yale Study in 2018 found that the true number of illegals in the country was 22 million at the time, and Bidenâs border crisis has only added to that. During the 2021 fiscal year over 1.7 million illegals were apprehended, in the 2022 fiscal CBP encountered nearly 2.4 million illegals, while in the 2023 fiscal year there were nearly 2.5 million encounters. In other words, the Biden admin has set three consecutive records for the number of encounters at the border.
