Even as he imposed strict mask mandates and social distancing rules on his own constituents, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was recently seen in Georgia flouting them.
Cuomo also refused to self-quarantine upon his return to New York, even though he imposed strict self-quarantine rules for out-of-state visitors, saying that his status as an “essential worker” exempts him.
According to Just the News, on June 30, Cuomo began requiring travelers from Georgia to New York to self-quarantine for two weeks. He also ordered in April that “any individual [in New York] who is over 2 and able to medically tolerate a face-covering shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain, or when not maintaining, social distance.”
Yet, on a recent trip to Georgia, Cuomo was seen violating his own mask order and social distancing rules when he was hugging Savannah Mayor Van Johnson without wearing a mask. When Cuomo was asked by the media if he would be self-quarantining upon his return, he said he wouldn’t because he is an “essential worker” under his own rule. According to Just the News, Cuomo’s rule does not apply to people passing through one of the states flagged for self-quarantining for less than 24 hours.
It’s truly incredible how the ruling class elite expects us to take their words seriously when they won’t even do it themselves.
