Stuart, Florida – 24 February 2025 - Dan Bongino has accepted the position of Deputy Director of the FBI as part of a broader effort to restore public trust and reinforce the integrity of one of America’s most critical institutions.
Bongino extends his deepest gratitude to President Donald J. Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and FBI Director Kash Patel for their trust and confidence. His decision to step into this role is driven solely by a commitment to service and a belief that law enforcement and national security institutions must be strengthened.
“I’ve spent my life in public service, beginning with the NYPD and continuing through my time as a Secret Service agent, working under both Republican and Democrat administrations.
I’ve witnessed firsthand the dedication and sacrifice of the men and women in these agencies who serve with integrity and honor, ” said Bongino.
This role is not about politics. It is about professionalism, leadership, and accountability. Bongino brings a diverse body of experience from his years protecting American presidents, investigating national security threats, and working in the trenches of law enforcement. His focus is on supporting the good men and women in the FBI who remain committed to the mission.
“There are dedicated people in the FBI who take their oath to the constitution seriously. They deserve leadership that will back them up, protect their mission, and ensure they can do their jobs.” Bongino stated.
Bongino will work alongside Attorney General Bondi and Director Patel to implement President Trump’s agenda to keep the homeland safe and to ensure the FBI remains an institution Americans can trust.
“My career has always been about service. I’m here to work. I’m here to lead. And I’m here to ensure that America’s law enforcement institutions uphold the values and integrity they were built upon, ” Bongino concluded.
