Pro-Sanctuary City DC Mayor Complains About Illegals From Texas and Arizona - Asks National Guard for Help

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser's professed "morals" have been put to the test, and as expected, she's a hypocrite.

Back in 2018, amid the media hysteria over Donald Trump's "controversial" policy of actually enforcing our immigration laws like every other country does, Bowser reaffirmed her support for DC's status as a sanctuary city for illegals.

Yet, with Biden in charge, and Texas and Arizona bussing illegals out of their state to DC as the border crisis spirals out of control, Bowser has suddenly become less accommodating.

As the Post Millennial reported:

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has reportedly requested that the district’s National Guard be activated to assist with illegal immigrants that are being bused to the nation’s capital.

According to letters obtained by NBC 4, Bowser requested National guard assistance in a July 19 letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and in a second letter sent to White House aides on July 22.

In the July 19 letter, Bowser noted that Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey had announced that they would bus migrants from the border to the nation’s capital. These two leaders have held to their word, with Bowser noting that more than 4,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in the nation’s capital on nearly 200 buses.

House Judiciary Committee member Chip Roy fired back at Bowser last night: "It's interesting hearing the mayor of Washington, D.C., which is where I'm sitting right now, complaining about 4,000 people on 200 buses that Governor Abbott has sent to Washington, D.C. since April." At least 500,000 illegals have crossed the border and evaded capture since the beginning of fiscal year 2022, and Bowser is complaining about having to deal with fewer than 1% of that.

"[She's] running to the Pentagon saying, ‘Oh, my gosh, we need the National Guard’ -- Oh, you know what, cry me a frickin' river – welcome to the party, pal," Roy added.
