At least one Democrat decided to draw inspiration from Jussie Smollett, and is taking a break from ignoring America’s crime crisis - to try to instead blame it on “MAGA gangs.”

According to Fox:

Rep. Jasmine Crocket  insisted it was the "MAGA gang" and not illegal immigrants who were behind the crime and unrest in communities. Crockett called out former President Trump for supposedly spreading lies about migrant crime, claiming his refusal to call out White supremacists was the real issue.

For reference, The Anti-Defamation League, which is incentivized to exaggerate their statistics, only identified 11 murders in 2023 that could be considered part of “white supremacist” motivations - out of roughly 18,500 total homicides.

"He said we’ve got these cities and these towns that are being overrun by gangs and crime out of control. I absolutely agree with that. And guess what? It’s the MAGA gang. It is the White supremacists that have decided to descend upon places such as Springfield, Ohio. So I agree with him. I just disagree with who the problems are," Crockett said on MSNBC’s "Velshi.'

She continued, "The problems are him and his minions. The problems aren’t the people that have come to make our economy stronger, the people that have actually been able to help to continue to make sure that we got out of the big hole that he put us in after Covid-19 with his ineptness. Yeah, I agree that there are problems in our communities, but usually, it is some White supremacist on the other side, and he has yet to call them out."

Watch below - but fair warning, it may cost you some brain cells.

On a national level; while red states do have higher murder rates than blue states, this is entirely a phenomenon of blue county crime within those red states. As the rise of the Soros prosecutors has proven, local politics play a major role in crime rates. According to one analysis of the county-level data from Heritage: “Averaging across all counties that voted for Donald Trump yields an aggregate homicide rate of 4.06 per 100,000 people, while averaging across counties that voted for Joe Biden yields a homicide rate of 6.52 per 100,000 people [more than 50% higher].”
