The President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader cracked a joke about Joe Biden’s constant beach trips during a meeting they had in the Oval Office.
At the end of their meeting, the two shared a laugh when Abinader said in conclusion ”We will continue to work hard to build an even brighter future for all our people. Mr. President, we look forward to welcoming you soon to the Dominican Republic at the next — at the next Summit of the Americas in 2025, where we will continue to develop the bonds of prosperity, security, and democracy that bind us together. And that summit will be in Punta Cana, so you have time to be on the beach.”
Earlier in October, the Dominican Republic was selected to host the next Summit of the Americas in March 2025.
Biden is meeting with leaders from 11 other countries today to discuss supply chain and migration related issues in an event that was announced last year at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles.
Biden has set records in spending 40% of his entire presidency on vacation, and given how he governs, the only real issue is that it’s not 100%.
