Democrat Representative Linda Sanchez attempted to confront a witness with posts from his Twitter account, only to learn that the account she tracked down didn’t actually belong to the witness, but someone with the same name.
Rep. Sanchez asked FBI whistleblower Marcus Allen to respond to a tweet about Nancy Pelosi “staging January 6” from an account she believed was his.
“Mr. Allen, have you ever used Twitter? Yes, or no?” she asked.
“I have utilized Twitter, yes,” he responded, to which Sanchez quickly followed up, “Okay, and your account ‘@Marcusa97050645?”
“That is absolutely not my account,” Allen informed her.
Then, after acknowledging that it’s not his account, Sanchez began to angrily interrogate Allen about the tweet that isn’t from his account.
An internet troll would later create a fake "Linda Sanchez" account, which he used to praise Donald Trump and mock Rep. Sanchez's gullibility.

Also of note; on the same day of this exchange, Sanchez's estranged husband was sentenced to six months in prison for fraud.
