On the most recent episode of Unfiltered With Dan Bongino this past Saturday on Fox News, Dan was joined once again by FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin, who this time explained how the Bureau's āPegasusā software could be abused to spy on Americans.
Dan Bongino: This scares me Kyle, itās no-click spyware. All I have to do is send you an email on your phone and you donāt even need to click on it, and the FBI has everything. Whatās stopping them from abusing this at this point?
Kyle Seraphin: ā¦.Itās an Israeli software.. Itās really only geared for non-U.S. phone numbers, so thatās what keeps them from using Pegasus specially internally. Or at least thatās what weāre led to believe by the New York Times. But they created a second, follow-up program called Phantom, and the only customers that are allowed are U.S. government agencies. And so Phantom is designed only to exploit U.S. phone numbers, and if they keep it internally, thatās a tool that could be used domestically without a problem.
