Internet sleuths uncovered some hilariously ironic words from Fani Willis back in 2020 that are now coming back to haunt her as she’s defending herself against allegations of an “improper” affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.

As the Washington Free Beacon uncovered, Willis said during an April 2020 appearance on the Patricia Crayton Show months before she was elected that “I certainly will not be choosing people to date that work under me. Let me just say that.” She was referring to then-incumbent Fulton County DA Pau Howard, who was accused of sexually harassing a former employee at his office in the 90s (and found not guilty of the allegations last December).

"You know, we are at a place in society where things happen in people’s relationships—husband and wife sometimes there are outside relationships,” Willis said. “I don’t think that’s what the community is concerned about.”

It sure seems they are now.
