As the phony outrage over President Trump’s comments on accepting foreign dirt on political opponents continues, it seems many in the mainstream media have conveniently forgotten Hillary Clinton’s endorsement of the very same tactics.
Rowan Scarborough of the Washington Times points out that in November 2017, Clinton appeared on the Daily Show where she was asked about the infamous anti-Trump dossier which has sources linked to Kremlin intelligence.
“It’s part of what happens in a campaign where you get information that may or may not be useful and you try make sure anything you put out in public arena is accurate,” she said, “So this thing didn’t come out until after the election and its’ still being evaluated.”
“When Trump got the nomination of the Republican Party, the people doing [the dossier research] came to my campaign lawyer, and said, would you like us to continue it,” she said. “He said yes. He is an experienced lawyer. He knows what the law is. He knows what opposition research is.”

In an interview with ABC News yesterday, President Trump said he would most likely accept political dirt on an opponent from a foreign country as well as hand over that information to the FBI.
“I think maybe you do both,” he said.
“I think you might want to listen, there isn’t anything wrong with listening,” Trump continued. “If somebody called from a country, Norway, [and said] ‘we have information on your opponent’ — oh, I think I’d want to hear it.”
Trump responded to the criticism he received for his ABC News comments, writing on Twitter this morning, “I meet and talk to ‘foreign governments’ every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K.), the Prince of Wales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about ‘Everything!’ Should I immediately call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again. With that being said, my full answer is rarely played by the Fake News Media. They purposely leave out the part that matters.”
