Democratsâ words are coming back to haunt them now that Joe Biden has preemptively pardoned members of his family in his final dozen or so minutes in office.
Biden pardoned relatives such as brothers James and Francis, sister Valerie and sister and brother-in-law respectively, Sara and John Biden.
âMy family has been subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats, motivated solely by a desire to hurt me â the worst kind of partisan politics. Unfortunately, I have no reason to believe these attacks will end,â Biden said.
Immediately after, clips began going viral on social media exposing Democrat hypocrisy on the issue. One of them shows then-Senate leader Chuck Schumer lambasting the now two-term president near the end of his first term.
He described Trumpâs proposed use of preemptive pardons following January 6 as âa gross abuse of the presidential pardon authorityâ in the closing days of Trumpâs first presidency.
And he was hardly the only one. X user Clyp Keeper put together a compilation of liberal media hacks echoing the same rhetoric, and mostly arguing that only guilty people need to be preemptively pardoned.
So for once they were (technically) right.
