Former Obama adviser Steve Rattner offered a rare dose of reality on MSNBC, correctly pointing out that life hasn’t gotten better for Americans under Joe Biden.
Rattner, who served as lead adviser to the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry in 2009, noted: “Americans lives aren’t better necessarily because when you look on the left here [pointing at chart], it shows you what happens to real wages wages after adjusting for inflation. [And it shows] real wages, after inflation, actually jumped up during the pandemic, mostly because prices went down. But what’s happened since then? Inflation… the American people are really unhappy about inflation for the first time in a long time.”
