It’s no wonder Trump is taking a victory lap, so to speak, as even Democrats admit that trump’s last minute visit to advocate for Republican Dan Bishop in NC’s special election brought home victory for the GOP.
On Twitter Trump wrote “Greg Murphy won big, 62% to 37% in North Carolina 03, & the Fake News barely covered the race. The win was far bigger than anticipated there was just nothing the Fakers could say to diminish or demean the scope of the victory…So we had TWO BIG VICTORIES tonight Greg & Dan!”
Dan Bishop defeated Democratic opponent Dan McCready in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District in a close 50.8 percent to 48.6 percent. The President held a rally for the two GOP races in Fayetteville, NC Monday night during which both candidates joined him on stage.
In his speech, Trump, as usual, did not hold back any punches. “A vote for any Democrat in 2020, and a vote for any Democrat tomorrow is a vote for the rise of radical socialism and the destruction of the American dream…Our first task is a giant victory tomorrow right her win the great state of North Carolina.” In the 2016 presidential election, Trump won in “Murphy’s district by more than 23 percentage points and in Bishop’s by 11 percentage points” reports the New York Post.
Greg Murphy won big, 62% to 37%, in North Carolina 03, & the Fake News barely covered the race. The win was far bigger than anticipated – there was just nothing the Fakers could say to diminish or demean the scope of this victory. So we had TWO BIG VICTORIES tonight, Greg & Dan!
