While struggling to elect a House speaker, Republicans have at least gotten their act together when it comes to how to deal with reporters.
At a presser after Mike Johnson became the fourth Republican House speaker nominee in two weeks, ABC’s Rachel Scott attempted to ask him a completely irrelevant and pointless question with the goal of shaming him for daring to question the 2020 election results - which at least tens of millions of Americans have.
“Mr. Johnson, you helped lead the effort to overturn the 2020 election result. Do you—” Scott began to ask before immediately being drowned out by a chorus of boos. North Carolina Rep. Virginia Foxx could be seen shouting “shut up!” while another shouted “Go away! Go away!”

Johnson became the nominee for House speaker on Tuesday with 128 votes after Tom Emmer dropped out just hours after being the third nominee. An unlikely joint Kevin McCarthy-Jim Jordan speakership has also reportedly been floated among House Republicans.
