How fortunate are we that the Democrat’s most supposedly “legendary” political analyst still doesn’t get it.
Leading up the election he made the correct observation that the party is losing support among men because its messaging is “too feminine,” and alienating to them, which drew him ire from an increasingly left-wing Democrat Party. But when it came to the trans issue, he’s no better than them.
Allowing men in women’s sports is an absolute blowout issue, with almost 80% of Americans opposing it. According to a recent New York Times/Ipsos poll, 79% of Americans, including 67% of Democrats, 64% of independents, and 94% of Republicans oppose it.
Yet, it's still an issue Democrats in power aren't letting go of, with 100% of Democrat Senators recently voting against men in women's sports. During a recent podcast appearance with Charlie Kirk, California Governor Gavin Newsom pretended to oppose transgender “women” (men) in women’s sports, and was excoriated by his own party members.
It would seem that Carville is now in the same boat, taking the “safe” position over the sane one.
“This is not of a concern to me. There are people that can deal with this. I’m worried about the cost of living. I’m worried about access to healthcare,” he told Piers Morgan, without acknowledging that the cost of both had skyrocketed under Joe Biden.
Morgan reminded Carville that Democrats’ disregard for voters’ concerns over the radical gender ideology allowed Trump to position himself as the voice of reason. “I would dispute that. A lot of Democrats have tried to say to me, ‘It didn’t really matter, the trans stuff and the woke stuff’ and I keep saying, I think it matters more than you think,” Morgan said.
“That when Trump positioned himself as the voice of common sense, and you had a party led by Joe Biden and Kamala, who both thought it’s fine for biological men to compete in women’s sport, for example, that actually that was more powerful than people realized, in the third tier of why they voted.” Harris even supported transgender surgeries for prisoners.
“Economy one, immigration two, woke mind virus three, supported by Kamala Harris,” Morgan dealt the final blow.
Carville finally appeared to bend the knee by suggesting that he did not prioritize taxpayer-funded transitioning for inmates. He also criticized the party for listening to the “idiotic far-left” on the border security issue.
Yet he still backs the party on their least popular issue.
