In the latest revision to the Biden administrationâs economic messaging, Karine Jean-Pierre wants Americans to know that they just have to wait a little while longer to see how great Bidenomics is.
MSNBCâs Willie Geist asked Jean-Pierre about Bidenâs declining approval among key voting blocks, such as young voters, and how they plan on preventing them from voting for other candidates.
"Look, we understand what the American people went through these past three years, right? We came out of a pandemic, right? A pandemic that we havenât seen in a hundred years. And when the president walked in, the economy was upside-down," Jean-Pierre replied. âAnd so we get it. We get that, so itâs going to take a little bit of time for folks to feel what the âBidenomicsâ has been able to do. Thatâs not something that Iâm saying. Thatâs something that economists have said, right? It takes a little bit of time. But it doesnât mean, it doesnât mean that the president is not going to continue to work.â
So according to the administrationâs talking points over the past year, Bidenomics is simultaneously working - but also we have to wait for it to fully work. Jean-Pierreâs latest comment is an admission that even they know things arenât going as well as they claim - and that they know the American people is aware of that too.

According to the most recent USA Today/Suffolk University poll, 39% of Hispanics say theyâd vote Trump, while 34% said theyâd vote Biden in 2024. This demographic voted 65% for Biden in 2020. Biden garnered 63% support among black voters in the same poll (24 percentage points lower than in 2020). Bidenâs âoverwhelmingâ lead among young voters collapsed with only 33% saying they'd' vote Biden, compared to 37% Trump.
