MSNBC's Joy Reid claimed that Donald Trump's "disinformation" is "working," MAGA "fascism" is on the rise, and that there will be an "insurrection 2.0" during a bizarre and unhinged monologue this week.
“What Trump, J.D. Vance, and House and Senate Republicans are orchestrating is a massive disinformation campaign aimed at warping Americans' reality,” Reid said. “They’re doing this with violent, terrifying, and sometimes bizarre conspiracy theories that set the stage for potential armed resistance to a Kamala Harris win, or the mass acceptance of American fascism.”
Reid went on to say that the so-called right-wing “disinformation” and fake polling are creating conditions that could set the stage for a second “insurrection,” even though there was never an initial one.
“If Trump, Republican pollsters, and even jittery Democrats can convince enough people that his victory is inevitable, how much easier would it be to claim that the election was stolen if he loses?” Reid asked her listeners. “How much easier would it be to get his base to rise up and possibly get violent, as they did when he lost the last time? How much easier would it be to pressure the Republican House Speaker, or John Roberts and the right-wing Supreme Court conservatives, to throw the election to Trump?”
“These are the things we need to consider,” she continued. “Because Donald Trump is not running a normal election. He’s talking America into the brink of civil war to terrify voters into supporting him. And if that doesn’t work, he’s laying the groundwork for Insurrection 2.0.”
