White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that the White House believes illegal aliens are a critical part of the American economy.

The Associated Press’ Josh Boad asked “We discussed earlier former President Trump is describing the situation on the border as a bloodbath, but on Friday, we're going to get jobs figures and past jobs reports have shown that immigrants are helping the U.S. economy. Is the view of this administration that the inflow of immigrants do more to strengthen the United States or hurt the United States? Does it do more?”

Boad is using the word “immigrant” as a synonym for “illegal immigrant” in a futile attempt to muddy the waters, but it is only *illegal* immigrants that Trump was talking about in the comments quoted.

Jean-Pierre replied; “So, Josh, I appreciate that question, and I think it's an important question as we're hearing clearly awful rhetoric from the other side, so but what we know what this president believes and you've heard the President say this before is that we know immigrants strengthen our country and our economy as well. It goes hand-in-hand here.”

Unless Jean-Pierre is knowingly responding to a strawman argument that Trump was speaking about immigrants as a whole, which he was not, she’s speaking about illegal immigrants when she says “immigrants.”

It wouldn’t be the first time this sort of rhetoric has come out of the White House this year.

Last month Biden made a similar comment on MSNBC while apologizing for calling the alleged murderer of Laken Riley “an illegal” at the State of the Union address, after which he saw the perfect opportunity to pander to illegals and their sympathizers.

“Undocumented. An undocumented person. And I shouldn’t have used illegal. I should’ve – it’s undocumented,” Biden began, before absurdly adding that illegal migrants “look, they built this country” and are “the reason our economy is growing.” Since the poll numbers are showing the border as Biden’s top losing issue, he added that “we need to control the flow at the border” to hedge his comment - though this comes after three years of doing everything to accomplish the opposite.

While the “illegal aliens built America” claim is hardly in need of a rebuttal, a few simple questions do highlight how absurd of a claim it is. For instance, how could illegals build America when mass illegal immigration is a relatively new problem in the timeline of U.S history? Similarly, if we were to go off the government’s official statistics that there were 10.1 million illegals in the country when Biden took office, because there have been 10 million that crossed the border illegally since Biden took office it implies that roughly half of all illegals in the country have arrived in just the past three years. Did the rate at which the country was “being built” double on Biden’s watch? (Admittedly, the government’s 10.1 million estimate is likely a major underestimated).

Both Mexico and Venezuela have voiced that they don’t want the illegals back that have fled their countries for ours, signaling from their leaders a significant lack of faith in their “nation building” abilities.
