As illegal alien border crossings topped a record 2.76 million this fiscal year, breaking the previous record (also set by Joe Biden)  by over 1 million, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says that Biden has done everything he can to deal with that.

Answering a question about the end of Title 42, Jean-Pierre said "What Americans should know is that the President has done the work to deal with what we’re seeing at the border, on day one.

What Americans should know is that the President put forth an immigration reform policy to make sure that we're dealing with a broken system, to make sure that we're able to protect dreamers to make sure that we deal with the backlog that we're seeing with asylum seekers to fix the gutted system that was that has been around for some time, but certainly was guided by the last administration."

Watch below:

When asked how many people the administration expects to cross the border once Title 42 is ended, she had no answer. A judge has since put Biden’s effort to end the policy on hold.

Contrary to Jean-Pierre’s narrative, Biden took a number of steps to weaken America’s border on just his first day in office by cutting off funding to build the border wall, announcing a 100-day deportation freeze, and suspending the “remain in Mexico” policy.” In 2021, the Biden administration was spending $3 million per day to halt the then-ongoing construction of the border wall, which wasn’t all too far off the cost to actually just build the wall.
