It’s probably no surprise that those extremely critical of law enforcement and criminal justice in general to the point of favoring abolishing prisons probably don’t have the best motives for doing so.

After all, what is it that motivates someone to advocate for pro-criminal policies? Could it be that they’re prone to criminal  behavior themselves?

As a recent case shows, the answer is (allegedly) yes.

As NewsNow Omaha reports:

Dominique Morgan street is named after a trans activist known for her work in Omaha. On Wednesday we learned Morgan is being charged for allegedly stealing $100,000 from a New York based organization.

In 2022, [he] moved to New York for an Executive Director position at the Okra Project, according to her LinkedIn. That's the organization [he’s] accused of taking almost $100,000 from.

The group's initial mission providing resources to the Black trans community, Morgan went further. Raising money [he] said would go to bail out indigent people from jail.

These are the same kind of bail funds that Kamala Harris promoted during the George Floyd riots, which left dozens dead and caused billions in property damage. Prisoners released after Harris endorsed that particular bail fund went on to earn themselves murder, DUI death, and arson charges, among others.

Morgan is now charged with grand larceny and falsifying 23 business records. If convicted, she could be back in prison for up to 15 years.

Morgan has pleaded not guilty to the charges, or in other words, identifies as innocent.
