Los Angeles Mayor Says She Fears Illegals Being Flown to Her City Next

As New York City nears its breaking point, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass fears her city may be next to suffer the consequences of Joe Biden’s border crisis. 

Bass has been highly critical of Governors Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis sending illegals to blue states, because blue state governors are fine with illegal immigration only when they don’t have to shoulder the cost. 

While speaking to Axios reporter Russell Contreas, Bass said that she’s “fearful that any day” planes of illegals could be sent to her state. “We live in a city that welcomes immigrants, and so I think we have been able to handle it, but I am fearful that any day planes could start coming,” Bass said. She’s clearly trying to pander to her largely pro-illegal base with her “city that welcomes immigrants” comment, but even she can’t deny the reality that her city cannot accommodate them. 

She accused Republicans of trying to “destabilize” cities they’re sending illegals to - yet has no sympathy for their states being “destabilized” in the first place by the exact sort of open borders policies that Bass herself favors.

This comes just months after the Los Angeles CIty Council voted in June to make their city a sanctuary city.
