Rep. Mayra Flores Blasts Nancy Pelosi for Allegedly Elbowing Her Daughter

Newly elected Texas Rep. Mayra Flores blasted Nancy Pelosi after she allegedly elbowed her daughter during a photo op at her swearing in ceremony, which appeared to be captured on a video that has since gone viral.

In the video, Pelosi looks down at one of Rep. Flores' daughters and then appears to elbow her - though from the video it is hard to tell if she made physical contact.

Mayra posted on Twitter of the incident: "I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her. She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen. No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!"

Pelosi said at the event "It’s a great honor to welcome Congresswoman Flores to the Capitol and to the Congress of the United States with great congratulations. And again, grateful for her leadership and her beautiful family who is here today." The two shook hands and the ceremony ended without incident, implying that Flores wasn't aware of what happened until after the video was posted (or if her daughter told her after the ceremony - but that's unclear as of writing). 

Pelosi has not yet addressed controversy surrounding the video.
