As if Australia’s COVID-19 restrictions haven’t been dystopian enough, Victoria Premier Dan Andrews has a plan to make them even worse, effectively “locking out” the unvaccinated from public life.
Currently the Australian state of Victoria has the most severe restrictions in the country, with residents its most populous city of Melbourne living under a 9PM-5AM curfew.
Andrews leads the Labor Party in Victoria, which holds the majority of seats in their parliament. He says that when the current blockade is lifted, the unvaccinated will basically be banned from public life. “There will be a vaccinated economy, and you can participate in it if you are vaccinated,” Andrews said. “We will move to block people who are not vaccinated and could be vaccinated to protect the health care system.”

As crazy as this is, anyone that’s seen what American liberals are writing on social media is well aware that they’d welcome this sort of policy domestically with open arms.
