Former First Lady Melania Trump will not accompany her husband to an upcoming White House meeting with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. According to sources cited by CNN, Melania's absence is due to a scheduling conflict related to her upcoming memoir. However, a source cited by the New York Post claims her decision is connected to the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago. âShe ainât going,â a source familiar with her decision told The Post. âJill Bidenâs husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting.â
The FBI raided Donald Trumpâs Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022 as part of an investigation into his handling of classified documents. Melania described the experience on âFox and Friendsâ in September, calling it an âinvasion of privacyâ that left her feeling "angry." FBI agents searched her wardrobe, her husbandâs office, and reportedly even checked one of her son Barronâs rooms.
âI saw unpleasant stuff that nobody wants to see,â Melania said of the experience of returning to her ransacked home. âAnd you get angry because, you know, nobody should be putting up with that kind of stuff.â
In 2016, former First Lady Michelle Obama extended an invitation to Melania Trump. However, the Trumps did not invite the Bidens to the White House in 2020.
