After keeping his head in the sand for nearly four years, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough was surprised by how ridiculous inflation has been under Joe Biden.
The moment came when Scarborough was telling a story about a Harris supporter who knew Trump was going to win that he made small talk with.
“A few weeks ago somebody who was going to be voting for Kamala Harris came up to me and said ‘oh my God, Trump’s going to win, I went to the grocery store and butter is over $3” Scarborough said.
He added “I kinda laughed and I said well that’s kinda reductive isn’t it, I said it to myself,” before he was interrupted by his wife and co-host Mika Brzezinski “It’s $7… I’m just saying it’s $7.”
“Butter is $7… What, is it framed in gold?” Scarborough replied, shocked?
“It’s seven bucks…. it depends where you go,” Brzezinski confirmed.

Despite this brief encounter with reality, the duo will predictably continue to blame Harris’ defeat on racism and sexism in years to come.
