While we were no fans of the Kamala Harris campaign for obvious reasons, they can at least be praised for incinerating liberal dollars to the tune of over $1.4 billion (significantly outspending Donald Trump).
During a Fox News appearance following Harris’ loss, DNC National Finance Committee member and Harris campaign fundraiser Lindy Li called it an “epic disaster… A $1 billion disaster,” adding that she was assured it was a “margin of error” race.
But just as Democrats lie to the American public, they also lie to their own employees and supporters.

According to David Plouffe, a senior adviser on the Harris campaign, this was never reflected in internal polling, which always had Harris behind or tied with Trump.
“We didn’t get the breaks we needed on Election Day,” he said in an appearance on the Pod Save America podcast. “I think it surprised people because there was these public polls that came out in late September, early October, showing us with leads that we never saw.”
Plouffe added that internal polling didn’t change much throughout the election, remaining mostly static since Harris joined the race in July.
While the national polling did show a neck and neck race (contrary to the internal polling, which is apparently more reliable), if one assumed the polls would underestimate Trump’s support by the same amount they did in 2016 and 2020, Trump was indeed leading the whole time. Of course, we didn’t know for sure if the polls would improve in quality this time around, and there was always the possibility they could overestimate Trump’s support in an attempt to avoid embarrassment this time around - but it turned out they’re still just as bad at their jobs this time around.
