Mark Zuckerberg may be trying to rehab his image, but Facebook is still up to its old tricks this election cycle.
In a new video released by the OâKeefe Media Group, a Senior Software Engineer at Meta (Facebookâs parent company) is shown appearing to admit to an undercover journalist that theyâre working to suppress anti-Kamala Harris content on their platform.
"Say your uncle in Ohio said something about Kamala Harris is unfit to be a president because she doesn't have a child, that kind of sât is automatically demoted,â he told the reporter, elaborating that the individual wouldnât be notified, and would only notice through a decline in their post engagement and impressions. As he examples, Meta has an âIntegrity Teamâ responsible for controlling content through itâs âcivic classifiersâ system that âshadowbansâ users for wrongthink.
When asked if he believes Meta has the ability to influence the outcome of an election, he replied in the affirmative.

In a follow up video, when reached for comment, the engineer in question replied âah, fâkâ before hanging up.
