George Soros scored another local victory last night, flipping the balance of the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the process.
Liberal Judge Janet Protasiewicz defeated the conservative-backed Dan Kelly in a 55.5%-44.5% vote, with Kelly struggling to generate turnout. Liberals now have a 4-3 advantage on the State Supreme Court.
Protasiewicz received financial backing from a handful of Hollywood celebs, Illinois’ Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker, and of course, George Soros, who piled $1 million into the race via’ the state’s Democratic Party. Between February 7 and March 20 alone, she brought in $12.4 million compared to only $2.2 million for Kelly.
As you’d expect, Protasiewicz has had numerous “weak on crime” controversies that all those backed by Soros share.
In one case, Protasiewicz sentenced a violent serial felon to under six months in prison for breaking his estranged wife’s face. He then gunned her down less than a year later, and nearly killed her. In another case, she released a child sex offender with no jail time - who then went on to kill a woman in a drunk driving crash.
Naturally, you can expect it to soon be deemed a “conspiracy theory” to report that Protasiewicz was backed by Soros - but the money trail speaks for itself.
