Another chief prosecutor is making headlines for all the wrong reasons - and as usual, they’re backed by leftist billionaire George Soros.

According to ABC7:

Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney Buta Biberaj submitted Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for communications between county supervisors and Biberaj’s current and former political opponents.

Biberaj submitted the FOIA requests with her official government email and her official government title.

As a result, some elected officials are asking if Biberaj is misusing her office and government funds for political and personal reasons.

In a letter, the Loudoun County Supervisor told Biberaj that at least two of her requests appear to be “personal or political,” and requested that she reimburses, “from non-governmental funds, the County and Commonwealth for any County or State resources, including staff time, that you used in preparing and transmitting those personal/political requests from your government office.”

In one of the requests, Biberaj wanted communications between county officials and her former opponent for Commonwealth’s Attorney, Nicole Whittman. She also requested communications between county officials and Elizabeth Lancaster, who is running against her in the Democrat primary this year.

Soros dumped $659k into the Loudoun County race backing Biberaj for Commonwealth’s Attorney, which she won and was sworn into the position in January 2020.

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors decided to give her office a smaller budget increase than requested in 2021 due to high turnover and her handling of domestic-violence cases. Of 735 cases brought to her office, she dismissed 491, bringing only 8 percent to trial.

Last year her office hired a registered sex offender, who was hired despite failing to submit a background check, and her office also accidentally released an accused murderer from jail.

Just last month Biberaj made headlines for announcing that her office wouldn’t be directly involved in the prosecution of misdemeanor charges — including hit-and-run, eluding police, reckless driving, trespassing, public drunkenness and failure to appear, among others.
