The Left’s 20 Cringiest Comments about Race

Fight tech tyranny. Join Dan on Rumble.

Maybe it isn’t a surprise that people completely obsessed with race have made so cringey comments about it, but they certainly don’t get a lot of play from the media. These comments went right down the memory hole 5 minutes after they were made for the most part. Unfortunately for the Left, some of us were paying attention. These are in alphabetical order. Enjoy!

  1. “Republicans are using the IRS scandal as their latest weapon in the war against the black man in the White House. IRS is the new [N-word].” — MSNBC’s Martin Bashir
  2. “Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness.” — Mary Frances Berry
  3. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” – Joe Biden on Barack Obama
  4. “I’m increasingly embarrassed to be a white male these days…” — Former CIA Director John Brennan
  5. “You don’t have to have a white person around to have white supremacy play out.” — Cherrell Brown
  6. “I’d like to be a little less white, which means a little less oppressive, oblivious, defensive, ignorant and arrogant.” — White University of Washington Professor Robin DiAngelo
  7. “Time for us white male Christians to take a step back and give power to others and make ourselves dispensable.” — Political consultant Matthew Dowd
  8. “American exceptionalism is really white supremacy on the sly.” — Eric Dyson
  9. “Herman Cain is probably well-liked by some of the Republicans because it hides the racist elements of the Republican Party, conservative movement and tea party movement. People like Karl Rove like to keep the racism very covert and so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity so he can say, ‘Look: This is not a racist anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look: We have a black man.’ And look he’s polling well and he won a straw poll.” — Janeane Garofalo
  10. “Not to alarm you, but I probably want you to quit your job, or at least take a demotion. If you are a white cis man you almost certainly should resign from your position of power. That’s right, please quit. …Stop hiring white cis men (except as needed to get/retain people who are not white cis men) until the problem goes away. If you think this is a bad or un-serious idea, your sexism/racism/transphobia is showing.” — University of Hawaii Professor Piper Harron
  11. “Because White votes currently count more than Black ones, double-counting Black votes would restore electoral balance. Vote reparations would be a giant step toward remedying our nation’s long history of denying and devaluing Black votes. To address systemic racism, we must transform how we choose our government.” — Brandon Hasbrouck, assistant professor at Washington and Lee University School of Law.
  12. “This was a whitelash against a changing country. It was whitelash against a black president in part. And that’s the part where the pain comes.” — Van Jones on Trump’s election
  13. “The White supremacist institution of policing that stole Breonna Taylor’s life from us must be abolished for the safety and well-being of our people.” — Colin Kaepernick
  14. Look, people are only voting for Donald Trump, most of his supporters are only voting for him because he’s a white guy.” – Sally Kohn
  15. “We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them.” — CNN host Don Lemon
  16. “The angry white guy is dying out, and the Census Bureau has already told us that by 2050, white people are going to be the minority, and I’m not sad to say I can’t wait for that day to happen. I hope I live long enough to see it because it will be a better country.” — Michael Moore
  17. “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” — Kelly Osbourne
  18. “Also spending money on roads instead of welfare is literally choosing rich white men over everyone else — they are the ones who drive.” — Caroline Criado-Perez
  19. “To your relatives and loved ones telling them you will not be visiting them or answering phone calls until they take significant action in supporting Black lives either through protest or financial contributions.” — Chad Sanders in a New York Times column
  20. “It is up to white people to rescue white people from our own worst selves, from the distorted monsters we have allowed ourselves to become.” — Baynard Woods

Bonus: “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” – Joe Biden

And trust me, there’s more.
