President Trump slammed his former attorney Michael Cohen in an early morning tweet, accusing the lawyer of lying in order to “reduce his prison time.”
Trump wrote, “Michael Cohen was one of many lawyers who represented me (unfortunately). He had other clients also. He was just disbarred by the State Supreme Court for lying & fraud. He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time. Using Crooked’s lawyer!”

Cohen has already arrived on Capitol Hill and will be testifying in front of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee at 10:00 a.m.
In his prepared remarks, Cohen will say that he does not have direct evidence that President Trump colluded with Russia.
“Questions have been raised about whether I know of direct evidence that Mr. Trump or his campaign colluded with Russia. I do not. I want to be clear. But, I have my suspicions,” he writes.
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), the top Republican on the Oversight committee dismissed Cohen’s upcoming testimony last night, telling Fox News that Cohen was convicted for lying to Congress.
“The Democrats first announced witness of the 116th Congress is a guy who is going to prison in two months for lying to Congress,” he said. “They are giving a forum to a guy who lied to banks, lied to the IRS, lied to all kinds of folks. But tomorrow he will given center stage to spread more lies about the Commander-in -Chief of our country, again…”
