President Trump said today he will host a rally instead of attending this year’s “boring” and “negative” White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Speaking to reporters on the White House lawn prior to his trip to California, Trump said he would not be attending the annual dinner because it’s “so boring and so negative.”
“We’re going to hold a very positive rally instead,” he said.
The president noted that while they have yet to determine the exact location, they have narrowed it down to “about three sites.”
“Everybody wants it. It’ll be a big one,” he said. “But the correspondents’ dinner is too negative. I like positive things.”
