Earlier this month the mainstream media declared the death of Donald Trump’s “Truth Social” social network, citing declining downloads since its launch day.
Just weeks later, Truth Social migrated to the cloud of the pro-free speech YouTube alternative “Rumble,” cleared out their backlogs, and have since rocketed to the #1 spot in the Apple app store.
According to Just the News:
Truth Social on Tuesday ranks as the No. 1 free app on the online iOS apps store, with the Twitter app in second.
The site was started by former President Trump and is owned by the Trump Media and Technology Group. The site was launched in late February.
Trump Media and Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes told Just the News on Friday that the backlog of accounts waiting to use to the platform has been cleared and is now open to millions of users.
This comes as Twitter accepted Elon Musk’s offer to acquire them and take the company private. Musk, who says he was motivated to purchase Twitter to further free speech, made note of Truth Social’s recent success.

While it’s likely Donald Trump is going to be unbanned from the platform as a result of the acquisition, Nunes told Fox News that Trump has no interest in returning.
