Tucker Carlson Slams Joe Biden Over His Ultimatum to Unvaccinated Americans

Fight tech tyranny. Join Dan on Rumble.

Tucker Carlson savaged Joe Biden after the President gave an ultimatum to unvaccinated Americans.

Carlson noted that the Biden Administration has actually done a lot to undermine confidence in a vaccine. Before the election, Kamala flat out said she didn’t trust what Donald Trump had to say about a vaccine. Since then, the Biden administration’s foolish decision to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine also undermined public confidence in vaccinations.

It doesn’t help that their recommendations seem to constantly change and that Biden’s CDC changed school closure guidance based on pressure from a teacher’s union.

Carlson said:

Oh, so you are allowed to ask questions about the coronavirus vaccine, that doesn’t make you an anti-vaxxer. But you’re not allowed to refuse it. You can ask all the questions you want but in the end, you will take it. And if ya don’t, Joe Biden declared today, you will wear your mask forever. …The president of the United States announcing that he somehow has the power to decide what you wear. Hmmm…that’s never happened before…If you have been vaccinated … why are you worried about whether or not other people wear masks? How are maskless people or any people regardless of infection status a threat to you if you’ve been fully vaccinated?

As per usual, Tucker is right.

Even as someone who has been vaccinated and believes that it’s the right way to go, the angst over unvaccinated Americans is a little hard to understand. Per the CDC, 47% of Americans have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 36% have been completely vaccinated. Vaccines are now widely available and fully vaccinated people are highly unlikely to get COVID and highly unlikely to die from it if they do. Additionally, the percentage of the population that is being vaccinated can be expected to continue to increase since polling shows that roughly 80% of Americans plan to get the vaccine. On top of that, a certain percentage of the people that don’t plan to get the vaccine have already been infected at some point and have antibodies. Others will get infected in the future.

Although we don’t know the percentage of the population that needs to be protected to get to herd immunity, most estimates seem to be between 60-90%. That would mean we seem likely to reach herd immunity even if 20% of the population doesn’t get vaccinated….at least for a while. Many experts also believe it is possible variants of the virus may make the vaccines less effective over time and start this cycle back up again. It’s too early to say for sure. Put another way, given that vaccine is now readily available (Thank you, Donald Trump!), obsessing about who’s wearing a mask or getting vaccinated and who isn’t seems a little silly.
