Democrats are increasingly terrified that Donald Trump will use the same tactics against them that they’ve been using against him if he’s reelected in November.
VP Kamala Harris was responding to the recent Supreme Court decision establishing that presidents have absolute immunity from legal prosecution for official acts, when she fearmongered about how Trump could weaponize the government against his political enemies who have spend nearly the past decade weaponizing the government against him.
Distorting the facts seems to be the left's only tactic, and Harris executed it skillfully. Speaking to CBS, she tells the reporter, “When we have a candidate in Donald Trump who’s openly said he’ll be a dictator on day one, that he will weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies, it’s very likely that he could be immune from those kinds of acts.”
She continued, without a hint of irony; “...and we have to take seriously the stakes of this election in terms of the thought that we could have a president in the White House who thinks he's immune and able then to make decisions with that office that include weaponizing the Department of Justice against his political enemies.”
