If his social media posts are any indication, Alexander Soros is following in his father’s footsteps politically, and he’s already amassed a massive sphere of influence.
A simple scroll through his Instagram account shows pictures with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Raphael Warnock, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, France’s President Emmanuel Macron, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama - and countless others. And that’s just from the past six months.
Unlike his father, Alex is much more open about his political connections (though as he rises in prominence, surely the media will start branding any mention of this reality as “anti-semitic” as they do with his father).
Now it’s been revealed that he’s been to the Joe Biden White House on more than a dozen occasions.
According to the New York Post:
Alexander Soros scored at least a dozen meetings with White House officials in 2022, according to recently updated White House visitor logs. Soros, 37, also participated in two other confabs there in late 2021, the records show.
The records reveal the following meetings, as per the Post:
- 12/2/2022: Mariana Adame, Advisor to the Counselor Steve Ricchetti
- 12/2/2022: Jon Finer, Deputy National Security Advisor
- 12/1/2022: State Dinner on South Lawn for French President Emmanuel Macron attended by President Biden
- 12/1/2022: Nina Srivastava, adviser to then-Chief of Staff Ron Klain
- 10/14/2022: Mariana Adame, Advisor to the Counselor Steve Ricchetti (x2)
- 10/6/2022: Jon Finer, Deputy National Security Advisor
- 10/6/2022: Kimberly Lang, Executive Assistant to the National Security Advisor
- 9/15/2022: Jon Finer, Deputy National Security Advisor
- 9/14/2022: Nina Srivastava, adviser to then-Chief of Staff Ron Klain (x2)
- 4/22/2022: Madeline Strasser, adviser to then-Chief of Staff Ron Klain
- 12/15/2021: Jon Finer, Deputy National Security Advisor
- 10/29/2021: Madeline Strasser, adviser to then-Chief of Staff Ron Klain
It is interesting to note that the majority of those Alex met with are in national security positions, given the Soros family’s well-documented web of influence in Ukraine - amid the U.S. sending tens of billions of dollars to the historically corruption-prone nation. The meetings with then-Chief of Staff Ron Klain are also of note, given that the man had the President’s ear more than anyone else.
Alex has spent $11 million of his own fortune on politics - both an enormous sum and a pittance in comparison to his father - but that won’t be for long. George Soros’ vehicle for his political activism, his Open Society Foundations, is currently sitting on an endowment of nearly $20 billion, which Alex is likely going to be in control of after his father’s passing.
As of writing, three of the seven members of the Open Society Foundations board of directors are members of the Soros family (including Alex) - meaning the influence of Soros will be here to stay, even long after his passing.
