Pierre Poilievre, the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the head of the opposition, gave a masterclass in schooling the media by asking only a few simple questions.
Reporter: In terms of your strategy currently, you’re obviously taking the populist pathway…
Poilievre: What does that mean?
Reporter: Uh.. haha… well, appealing to people’s more emotional levels… I would guess.
Poilievre: What do you mean by that?
Reporter: Certainly you… certainly you tap, certainly you tap certain ideological language quite frequently.
Poilievre: Like what?
Reporter: *shaking head* uuuuuh…. Left wing… this and that… right wing… like, you know, that type… but anyways.
Poilievre: I never talk about left or right wing, I don’t really believe in that.
And it didn't get much better for the reporter since then, who struggled to explain exactly what it was he was alleging.Watch the rest below - it’s a great reminder on how flimsy the media’s allegations are. Hopefully some Republicans in Congress learn a lesson from it.
