Sanctuary city Mayor Eric Adams called out VP Kamala Harris over her non-existent handling of the border crisis as his own city deals with a massive influx of illegals.
“There needs to be an individual who is dedicated to do the decompression strategy for the federal government. Someone should be at these entry points: El Paso, Brownsville, Texas, and others, too, to organize a real decompression strategy across the entire country,” Adams said at a news conference.
“One person should, we should be looking at — it is often stated that as the role of the VP has too much in her portfolio to be focused on just doing that decompression strategy. If not, the decompression strategy can’t be New York City” he continued.

Just the illegals bused in from out of state are costing NYC $5 million a day. The tab hit $500 million by mid-February, and the two-year cost of them is expected to exceed $4 billion.
While Adams is right to blast Harris here, it’s not like he’s much better, or doing anything to fix the problem himself. He presides over a sanctuary city, has praised its sanctuary status, and even with countless problems due to illegal immigration that he’s publicly spoken out against, refuses to even consider removing that status. Reporting from the Washington Examiner earlier this week revealed that Adams wants to resettle illegals in his state elsewhere in the country, again showing that he’s not concerned with illegal immigration, he just doesn’t want his city bearing too much of the cost.
