Democrats generally pretend to be moderate and don’t say the quiet parts of their real agenda out loud, but with the pick of Kamala Harris for his vice-presidential pick, Joe Biden has fully embraced gun confiscation.
During her own failed campaign for president last year, Harris was one of the only candidates to blatantly support confiscating tens of millions of legally owned firearms, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
Harris said during a policy forum hosted by the gun-control group March for Our Lives that “[W]e have to have a buyback program and I support a mandatory gun buyback program. It’s got to be smart. We’ve got to do it the right way but there are five million [assault weapons] at least, some estimate as many as 10 million, and we’re going to have to have smart public policy that’s about taking those off the streets but doing it the right way.”
Even though Biden himself has pushed for strict gun-control measures, such as banning all guns without “smart” features, he told CNN last year that there is “no way” to confiscate guns that Americans already own.
Now, by adding Harris to his ticket, Biden’s platform on gun control is now further Left than any candidate’s in recent memory.
Any notion that Biden is somewhat moderate should obviously be discarded.
