Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar was shocked to hear someone talking back to her after misrepresenting them yesterday.
It happened during Kash Patel’s fiery confirmation hearing, when Klobuchar read a bunch of out-of-context and truncated quotes, which Patel pointed out were misleading.
"That's a general statement and a mischaracterization of what I said," Patel told Klobuchar in response to questioning about a past quote she suggested proved Patel believes some U.S. Capitol Police officers lied under oath during the January 6 hearings (hardly a radical belief to begin with).
"I encourage you to read the rest of the interviews," Patel added. "This is why snippets of information are often misleading and detrimental to this committee's advice and consent."
Klobuchar came back with; "If you consent, I would love to have five hours of questions, and then I could read the whole transcripts."
Patel wasn’t going to play her game.
"You've got two minutes," Patel fired back, with a stunned Klobuchar simply replying “wow.”
